John's Beach Service : Myrtle Beach Lifeguards |
Serving Myrtle Beach since the 1940's
John's Beach Service began protecting the
shores of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in
the late 1940's. The first founding owner
was Captain John Smith of the Virginia Beach
Beach Patrol, hence the name, John's Beach
Service. Captain Smith also had two business
partners, Harry Kahler and Joe Buehler.
Mr. Buehler brought the beach service to Myrtle
Beach and remained the owner until 1983, when
one of Mr. Buehler's former lifeguards purchased
the business from him. |
| Bill
Jackson remains the owner even now.
Today, John's Beach Service employs
a general manager, two assistant managers,
a shop manager, and approximately 36
lifeguards. John's Beach Service is
also a proud member of the USLA. |
